It so strange to me how you blink and suddenly your baby is 8 years old. So many challenges over the last couple of years, but each challenge bringing us closer to a normal life for our little man. I've considered writing about quiet reflections, triumphs, struggles, achievements, and explaining the absence of other blogs. But, I will simply state that our journey has been so difficult and it will continue. Every day is a challenge and achievement. So much has happened and yet, my thoughts are jumbled with what would be considered important in a readers eyes. Kaden is 8 today. That's right, 8. He is growing, thriving most days, and loves life. Despite the procedures, struggles with being teased, and difficulties making it through a regular day without resting, he smiles. He laughs. He encourages those around him to just keep swimming.
