Hey all,
We just got home from our sleep study. Brian came with me so Kaden wouldn't be so overwhelming. We spent the entire day in Denver meeting his surgeons and deciding a plan. Kaden showed hearing loss from all of his ear infections and Dr. Yoon said that he needs tubes. This will be a simple surgery to add on to the "biggie". The biggie for Kaden will be his Nissen and his G-Tube. Dr. Bealer was concerned about Kadens growth or lack there of. He believes he will need a continuos feed from his G-tube for 12-16 hours per day and that we will see a lot of regression in other areas for a while. This will be his only form of nutrition until everything heals up. He said he will be in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for 3-5 days on a ventilator after the surgery, but overall feels this will improve Kaden's life. Surgery is August 15th. As for the sleep study we will not know results until next week, but we will continue to monitor him at home for apnea. Please keep our little man in your prayers.
